Founded in 2018, Dollie & Stella was born from Jo Sadler’s vision of an ethical, inclusive, and community-centred salon experience, paying homage to her grandmothers, Dollie and Stella.

While our roots are in Marrickville, where our salon was originally located, we’re thrilled to be on Wilson Street in bustling Newtown. Our expansion to Newtown marks a new phase of collaboration with local businesses in Sydney’s inner West, focusing on nurturing the community, promoting sustainability, and supporting education.

Our specialty lies in high-end hair services delivered in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, our cozy space promises a personalised touch for every client. We are committed to sustainability practices and inclusivity. We are proud to offer gender-neutral pricing and welcome everyone, including the LGBTQI community, with open arms.

She took the time to understand what I wanted and gave me plenty of options and really felt like a team effort. She is sooo talented and the cut turned out even better than I could’ve hoped for. Their level of skill, creativity and attention to detail is unmatched.

I've got some insane results over the years and ALWAYS get flooded with compliments afterwards ✨

They truly know how to not only cut, dye and style hair but also how to enhance its health and my hair has never been better.

I've had my hair done by Josh in the past and now by Eden who are both extremely talented, caring & communicative but you can tell just by sitting there that everyone working there is as amazing 💜

Seriously, if you've had any bad hairdressing experience before, you can trust dollie & stella.

The team (Jo, Ravenna and Eden) are so friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel relaxing and enjoyable. They have a lovely space with great staff and are always very accommodating

Their location is also so great if you want to grab some food before or after your appointment as they’re just off king street
